ISLP partnered with the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation to mobilize nine law firms for a project focused on conducting extensive comparative research and analysis on environmental management regulation Latin America. The analysis will be provided to the Peruvian NGO Derecho, Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (DAR). It will be used to improve the regulatory environment in the selected countries as well as in proposing the adoption of identified best practice starting with Peru.
The analysis focuses on the energy, mining and hydrocarbons sectors and encompasses environmental frameworks from Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
The Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation was instrumental in helping ISLP to secure the participation of the following firms:
