International Senior Lawyers Project hosted a virtual training session for the Natural Justice team titled “AI and the Law: Emerging Frontiers in Legal Practice.” Designed for attorneys, researchers, and advocates, the session explored how artificial intelligence is transforming legal work, advocacy strategy, and regulatory frameworks. The training featured Ademola Bamgbose and Sofie Gowran of Hogan Lovells, alongside Ahmed El Sharkawy of Sharkawy & Sarhan. They provided practical insights into AI governance, legal risk management, and the evolving responsibilities of lawyers operating in increasingly technology-driven environments. The session also addressed how AI-powered tools can enhance efficiency in legal research, drafting, and case analysis, while underscoring the importance of responsible and transparent use. Particular attention was given to the role of lawyers in shaping regulatory responses to AI and ensuring that technological innovation aligns with principles of justice, accountability, and human rights.
