International Senior Lawyers Project and the East African Law Society brought together regional lawyers, judiciary officers, arbitrators, and other dispute resolution practitioners for a focused discussion on legal and regulatory challenges in cybersecurity and data protection. Drawing on their diverse experience, the panel examined how legal systems in East Africa and beyond are adapting to evolving cybersecurity threats, the complexities of cross-border data protection, and the regulatory implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
