ISLP’s work would not be possible without the pro bono contributions of experienced and dedicated lawyers.

Whether desk-based or in the field, volunteer lawyers effect meaningful and measurable impact on governments and civil societies around the world, strengthening ISLP’s commitment to just, accountable and inclusive development.

Complaints Policy

Any complaint against ISLP or ISLP-UK should be addressed in writing to the Executive Director of the office with which the complainant has the closest connection. Complaints to the US office are to be addressed to Katherine Mulhern (email address: kmulhern@islp.org; registered office: 110 W 40th Street, Suite 700, New York, NY 10018). Complaints to the UK office are to be addressed to Susan Hazledine (email address: shazledine@islp.org; registered office: City Gate House, 39-45 Finsbury Square, London EC2A 1PX).

Complaints should set out the nature of the complaint and what action the complainant thinks would be appropriate. The board will aim to send a letter of acknowledgement to the complainant within 10 working days of receiving the complaint. Information will also be provided setting how the complaint will be dealt with and within what timescale.

Should the complainant be dissatisfied with how the complaint has been dealt with or with the action or lack of action that has been taken as a result of the complaint, they may make a further complaint in writing to the board of directors of the office with which the complainant has the closest connection.
